The History of The Band

The band ToXiC YoGhurT was really made up of two bands that went their separate ways. At the start there two bands "Spirits Of The Sand" and "SFX".

Spirits Of The Sand was a four-piece outfit-
Danny Harris- Lead Vocals/Bass Guitar
Martin "Marv" Penrose- Rhythm Guitar
Rob "Wardy" Ward- Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals
Jon- Drums.

SFX were also a four piece band- James "Bobby" Penrose- Bass Guitar
Liam Rimmington- Guitar
Jake "Jakey C" Cordery- Drums
David Kilt-Lifter Kelman- "Vocalist".

The story goes that with Spirits Of The Sand drummer Jon living in Whitwell (Not Worksop!), they were trying to get Jake's services from SFX, but it never really happened

The Talent Show

The Valley Talent Show was upon us and Spirits Of The Sand did not feel ready to perform at it, with lack of practice with a drummer. But SFX was going to perform Green Days track BRAINSTEW. With SFX struggling at the time with only the one guitarist, Liam, not being that good at the time, me and the other S.O.T.S guitarist Wardy offered our help. One of the members of SFX was Marvās festively plump brother. The music we performed at the show was good, but the singing was anything but, because of a dodgy singer. He was a complete retard and forgot to turn on the microphone before he sung, what a Kilt-Lifter.

The Aftermath

After the Talent Show, Captain Kilt-Lifter thought that Marv and Wardy were in his band because we practiced with the band SFX, KELMAN WE WERE NEVER IN YOUR BAND! Marv decided to start up his own band by the name of ToXiC YoGhurT, Wardy was the first person he acquired, he joined as Lead Guitarist. Marv then set his sights on stealing the SFX Drummer Jakey C, with Kelman's band being Gutter Trash Jakey C had no hesitation to this offer.
At this point we were left with a hard choice for the Bass position, with Danny wanting not to play that much punk, but we loved it. I really just wanted punk to be a starting point, but Danny really 't want to play any, so he didn't join.
Now Toxic Yoghurt practiced without a bass player for a long time, then I new somebody by the name of Steve Ward how wanted to be in a band and could sing a little so we secured his services.

The only hitch with Steve being our Bassist was he didn't have a Bass, so we demanded the service of a Mr. Branch, he did. However Mr. Branch found it difficult to juggle both the band and his job at sainsbury's and left leaving the bass player position open but was quickly filled by Nuggy after borrowing Bobby (Marv's bro) from his band for one gig. Trouble between a band members ex-girlfriend and Steve nearly led to Steve leaving but heās staying and we all lived happily ever after!

So The Current Line Up For The Band is:

*Rob "Wardy" Ward- Guitar/Backing Vocals
*Martin "Marv" Penrose- Guitar/Backing Vocals
*Steve "Honest Steve" Ward- Lead Vocals
*Jake "Jakey C" Cordery- Drums
*Thomas "Nuggy" Dixon

(Note- Steve and Rob are no relation)
